You don't need a license to buy from copart!
Disclaimer - My state does not require an individual to obtain a dealer or dismantler license so long as that individual buys/sells or dismantles less than 5 cars per year. Please check your local requirements for licensing. Often times a bond, LLC, and license can be obtained for relatively inexpensive to allow you to conduct legitimate business and keep the ole tax man off your back.
This is my Personal experience buying from copart and saving money by not using a broker in sales that don't require one. You may have feeling about the high fees copart has, but you can still save money and find deals if you are patient. Your mileage may very.
