There was a spell of good weather for a few days, before the Met Office forecast that a storm would be rolling in. So myself, Kev Green [ Ссылка ] and Andy Beavers [ Ссылка ] all decided to meet up in Edale and then head up Kinder Scout for a 3 day adventure.
We headed up Jacobs Ladder and made our way to Ashop Head, where we setup camp for night 1. Although not terribly strong, there were 35 mph gusts that night, and I'm pleased to report that the Tarpstar was rock solid and coped very well in the winds.
The following day, we made our way along the northern edge of Kinder, before crossing the interior. After crossing the interior, we made our way towards Grindsbrook, where we setup camp for night 2.
On day 3, we made our way off Kinder and headed down into Edale, eventually arriving back at the cars.
This was a brilliant camp. Kev and Andy are great company, and they're both extremely knowledgeable when it comes to Kinder Scout and wild camping in general. I really enjoyed this trip. 👍
