Join me, Willem, David and Rab, on an epic winter adventure as we take on a sections of Britain's most beautiful and challenging ridge hike: the iconic Cuillin Ridge on the Isle of Skye.
This circular hike started and finished at Glen Brittle Youth Hostel and saw us summiting three incredible Munros: Sgurr na Banachdich, Sgurr a' Ghreadaidh, and Sgurr a' Mhadaidh.
The Cuillin Ridge is not for the faint-hearted or inexperienced hikers. This hike is extremely technical and exposed, taking us across the narrowest and most difficult ridge in the UK, where every step demanded skill, precision, and focus. With icy conditions and stunning winter scenery, this was an unforgettable experience, but one that required the right skillset, knowledge, gear, and favourable weather to undertake safely.
If you're considering tackling this awe-inspiring ridge, or just want to experience the beauty and intensity of this world-class route, make sure you have the skillset, equipment, and knowledge to do so. If in doubt, hire a guide or give it a miss.
