Since we found delicious plums from our favorite fruit vendor at the local farmers' market, we are making this easy, yet delicious Hibiscus Plum Compote. It is great on a number of desserts. Only limit is your imagination!
Ingredients:
1.5lb Black Plums (pitted and cut into 1/2" wedges)
2 Tbsp - Dried Hibiscus
1/2 Cup - Sugar
1/2 Cup - Water*
1/4 Tsp - Ground Cardamom
1/4 Tsp - Cinnamon
Pinch - Ground Black Pepper
Instructions:
1. Put everything into a pan over medium heat.
2. Cook it down (About 10 minutes) until moisture reduces and can drag spoon through sauce.
3. Spoon in jar, allow to come to room temperature before closing lid and storing in fridge.
