Thanks for watching Garry Teaches Maths. Here we continue to go through the Edexcel June 2019 Maths GCSE Higher Tier Paper 2. This is question 7 and is about ratio. Here we are told that 4 people are sharing and amount of money between them and given that the ratio that two of the people are sharing the money is 2:7, and also that the other two people receive 1.5 times the amount that the first person receives. From this we are able to create a ratio which combines all of the four people receiving the money. We can then proceed to work out the actual amount that each one receives.
