Howdy Folks! Welcome Back To The Channel.
In This Weeks Video We Are Hiking Down From Pear Lake To The Second Campsite In Lodgepole In Sequoia National Park. This Will Be A Three Part Series.
For Me Personally, The Theme Of This Video Is Traditions. Many Folks Have Backpacking And Camping Traditions, Like Camping In The Same Spot As A Family Each Year. As We Descended Out Of Pear Lake Down To Emerald Lake, As Cold As The Water Was I Forced Myself To Jump In At The Same Spot I did Two Years Ago. Ive Decided This Is Now Tradition. Lodgepole Campsite 120 Was Super Sweet, I Think Another Tradition Will Be To Camp There Every Year Now!
After Fighting A Touch Of Altitude Sickness In The First Video From This Three Part Short Series ( Check It Out ! ) We Started Feeling Just Fine At 9,000 Feet And Lower To Our Campsite At 7,000 Feet.
We Could Have Stayed At That Campsite Forever. We Secretly Scouted All The Top Rated Upper Campsites At Lodgepole ( 124-128 ) And Found We Actually Hit The Lottery With Site 120, Its The Biggest, Most Private, With Only One NeighborIng Campsite Thats Separated By A huge Fallen Redwood You Can See In The Opening Scene. I Think The Internet Has Tried To Keep This Spot Secret, It Was Truly The Best! Be Mindful If You Have Small Children Or Dogs And Plan On Staying Here, These Are The Upper Campsites On The Edge Of The Forest, And The Best Place For Bears To Enter The Sites. Two Showed Up While We Were There.
And Yes, I Did Get My Doritos. That May Be Why We Had Bears...
Did Anyone Catch My Castaway Movie Reference Easter Egg?
Thanks For Watching, Hope You Enjoy!
