The two most popular language learning apps for 2020 for teachers in the classroom. These are great technologies I would recommend to any teacher.

This video focuses on two of the most popular applications that I showed language teachers in 2020. These are technologies that would be great to use in both an online teaching context but would also be great technologies to integrate into a blended learning course. Both of these language learning applications generated loads of comments from teachers this year. I had a total of over three million views of my videos and these were amongst my most watched videos.

If you're a teacher and you're looking to help make your lessons more student-centered and more interactive then these are ideal teacher tools to look at. The great thing about these technologies is that they're either free or very very cheap to use.

The first technology I'm going to focus on is called Wordwall. It's a great technology for language learning and for language teachers. Wordwall will allow you to create more than 30 different types of activities that you can then set your students to do. It also tracks your students so you know which students have completed the work and how many marks they attained. The great thing about WordWall is that the activities are fun, interactive and very easy to set up. The way you create the activities is also really simple. You simply add in the words that you want to work with or the sentences you want to work with and then click on create and the game is created. What I particularly like about what Wordwalll is there is a variety of different activities that students can do. So this is I make use of Wordwall when I teach an online and I want to get the students to do something a little bit interactive or maybe move away from working with the platform. The response to using WordWall was very positive and I had literally thousands of teachers connecting with me and telling me what a brilliant technology it is. I've gone to present word will in many many conferences around the world.

if you are looking to get your students speaking languages then the second technology that I recommend to you is excellent. Teacher Tools Digital is a really great website if you want to get your students to do speaking activities and these can be done through audio or through a video. Unfortunately this is not a completely free, however you can choose to use it for 30 days for free. You simply share the link to the speaking activity and the student can then click on the link and record themselves speaking. All the recordings come back to the teacher and the teacher is then able to listen and correct the student's work.

Teacher Tools digital offers is loads of different activities but the speaking activities are perhaps my favorites. Tt also does really good gap fill type of exercise indeed there about seven different exercise that we can use working with Teacher Tools Digital, so it's a very flexible technology that we can either use in a live session while teaching students perhaps on Zoom or we can also use it in a blended learning course where we share the link for the students to do the activities for homework.It really is a technology that I would recommend to language teachers.

I really hope you find these two technologies useful, they are amongst the most useful technologies the I've been working with when doing my teacher training sessions and certainly the most useful technologies that my teachers tell me what when they are working with the students in the classroom they find useful. What I also like about these two technologies is it like an work with both Young Learners and with adults.
