We start out mild and muggy in the 70’s. High temps will be way above average today in the mid-to-upper 90’s with heat index values above 105 for most. There is a HEAT ADVISORY for most of the News 5 area from 11 AM until 7 PM for heat index values up to 109 degrees. A few scattered showers and storms will be possible this afternoon at around 40%. Lows tonight drop back into the mid-70’s. We stay very hot through midweek with more heat advisories likely. Rain chances increase towards the end of the week which will give us some relief from the heat. The tropics are currently quiet.
