Pollichathu literally means grilled or pan fried. Meat is then wrapped in a banana leaf and then cooked!
Ingredients and Way to go about it:
250 gms prawns -cleaned and deveined
Marinate the prawns with salt, turmeric and some chilli powder. Fry it for a couple of minutes.
Now to the same pan, add chopped onions, curry leaves, tomatoes and cooked until soft.
Add garam masala, green chillies, coriander leaves and grated coconut.
Cook it for a couple of more minutes.
Now wrap the above in a banana leaf and steam it until you see the leaf turn brown.
Serve it on a bed of rice and enjoy ✅
