The Transnet National Ports Authority is closing Maritime Month at the Port of Ngqura in Gqeberha by engaging with Grade 10 learners who are interested in maritime studies. This is a nationwide initiative to encourage learners to pursue a career in the sector.

This year, 100 learners are in attendance and they will get a glimpse of the industry when they board tugboats and observe the work done at harbours.
