Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy
Ten years after the Battle of Endor, the Imperial Remnant continues to be driven back by the New Republic, forcing the Imperials to adopt increasingly desperate tactics in the ongoing struggle.
Meanwhile, Jedi Master Luke Skywalker moves to restore the Jedi to their formal place as peacekeepers of the galaxy at his Jedi Academy on Yavin 4.
Jaden Korr, a promising student from Coruscant, is en route to the Academy after achieving the impossible: creating a lightsaber without any formal Jedi training...
Gameplay
===================
Tutorial the First.
I appear to have been a victim in a shuttle crash, I have to get to the academy with the arsehole Rosh Penin, through various means. Cutting down trees, killing Howlers, Stormtroopers, Disciples of Ragnos. Once I've returned to the temple, Luke Skywalker says, Hi. (Not actually voiced by Mark Hamill). That's the first mission over.
Tutorial the second.
My new master, Kyle Katarn who we play as in Jedi Knight: Dark Forces, Dark Forces 2, it's expansion Mysteries of the Sith and last but not least Jedi Knight 2 : Jedi Outcast. wanted to see my and unfortunately, the arsehole Rosh Penin's abilities. So we hit the training course, where we get to exercise our Padawan powers :)
Except there's a couple of howlers in the way, Rosh releases a droid that could of potentially killed me (pfft...) and few simple puzzles just to introduce you to your abilities.
Luke then comes in going, Aaaaaah 5000 Year old Sith lord, and at the end of the Tutorial, randomly pulls an angry face next to the Okay button...

Details on how to make game 1080p
===================
I found this easy to do with the game being based on the Quake 3 Engine ;)
Browse to the game location, Either one of these:
(32-bit operating system)
C:\Program Files\LucasArts\Star Wars Jedi Knight Jedi Academy\
C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\Jedi Academy\
(64-bit operating system)
C:\Program Files (x86)\LucasArts\Star Wars Jedi Knight Jedi Academy\
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Jedi Academy\
And you want to browse to
\GameData\base\ and open the file(s)
jaconfig.cfg for Single-Player or
jampconfig.cfg for Multiplayer.
Find the line seta r_mode "??" (?? signifies a value)
Change that value to -1, this sets the Quake 3 engine to a custom resolution.
Then adjust the lines below to your choosing, in my case.
seta r_customwidth "1920"
seta r_customheight "1080"
The Quake 3 engine however doesn't scale properly, so you have to adjust your field of view, now the games doesn't let you do this in the options menu, so you need to add the line:
seta cg_fov "95"
So that your game looks normal, now "95" works for 16:9, If however you are running 16:10, i.e. 1440x900, you would need to use "90".
4:3 is "80" and 5:4 is "75", 5:4 is a resolution like 1280x1024, where as 4:3 would be 1280x960.
Simply save the config file and launch the game. :)
Happy Gaming!
