Play some of your favorite music and enjoy this drive down Long Canyon Road in Grant County, UT. The drive begins at 38°32'28.9"N 109°42'28.0"W in Island of the Sky near Deadhorse Point State Park. The drive proceeds eastbound (downhill) through Pucker Pass, under the rock tunnel, and then through a series of switchbacks until you reach the bottom of the canyon. At the end of the 4WD road, you'll find Jughandle Arch on the left and UT state route 279 which takes you back into Moab.

The drive was completed in our 2013 Honda Pilot EX-L. We had to stop several times to let the brakes cool, but the road was manageable in a stock higher clearance AWD vehicle. Check weather conditions and contact the Bureau of Land Management before going as the road conditions can change rapidly.
