Unfortunately, security breaches are becoming more common. Because security breaches cannot be controlled, we need to use every tool to protect our information in case we get a dreaded breach notification. In this webinar hosted by the South Carolina Department of Consumer Affairs, learn about the free tools you should be using to keep your information safe when a security breach hits.
A business must let South Carolina residents know when their personal information is breached. When the breach affects more than 1,000 residents, the business must give the Department a copy of the notice sent to those residents. SCDCA's website has a list of notices received by the Department since 2015 that is available at [ Ссылка ]
If you are a South Carolina resident who is the victim of identity theft, please see this link for additional resources: [ Ссылка ]
