Steel Knight 17 is a Division Level exercise encompassing live-fire ranges, virtual scenarios and simulated combat across the scope and scale of warfighting. This year's exercise included an amphibious landing at Camp Pendleton, Calif., the largest air assault in decades by 3rd Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment, a combined arms live-fire exercise, and a Force on Force training scenario - each enhancing the readiness and lethality of the 1st Marine Division. Steel Knight 17 was held at Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center Twentynine Palms, Calif., Camp Pendleton, Calif., and Marine Corps Air Station Yuma, Az.
