In this video I'm heading to the West Lancashire coast for test out my new 600mm F4 lens. This is a piece of kit I've been looking to buy for some time, so I had to pick the perfect location for the first test!
The Ribble Estuary is one of the most important winter feeding grounds in the British Isles, and the perfect spot to photograph a range of visiting and resident wildfowl. There's also a healthy raptor population in this area, so there's always a chance of spotting Hen Harriers, Marsh Harriers, Merlin, Peregrines, Kestrels and various owls.
See how I go on testing out the new lens at RSPB Marshside in Southport, and stick with us to the for a bonus session at the end of the day on the lookout for the amazing Barn Owl.
