Theresa May has bought the 'first poppy' of the annual Royal British Legion campaign for Armed Forces veterans. The Prime Minister greeted veterans Roy Miller, 92, and Stewart Harris, 32, at the door to Number 10 today before slipping a note into the collection tin. The pair are spearheading the 2016 fundraising campaign, which urges the public to 'rethink remembrance'. Some 45 million poppies will be sold and the Legion has a target of £43million in fundraising.
