We faced major gaps across healthcare, including capacity, personal protective and other medical equipment, testing and diagnostics, and treatments and vaccinations.
Never before has collaborative, rapid innovation been so urgently needed to save lives on such a global scale.
The healthcare community swiftly stepped in to solve some of these challenges. As the largest healthcare innovation network in Europe, EIT Health led an intensive programme of activity that drove the development and launch of solutions including PPE, testing and diagnostics, AI and data platforms, and much more.
