Penguins of Isla Martillo (Hammer Island), Tierra del Fuego, Argentina. The penguins spend half the year on this island, then spend the other half out at sea. They always return back to the same spot to meet their lif partners and make more penguins.
Pira Tours is the only operator allowed on this Island and you literally walk in between the penguins, see there nests, hear their mating calls, watch them waddle around. You reach the area by flying into the city of Ushuaia, Argentina, about a 3 1/2 hour flight from Buenos Aires and then it's 1 /12 hours by van to the nearest port where you board a boat for about a 15 ride to the island.
