Pied is a pattern mutation of indian blue peafowl. A blue peafowl with white patches on body. This mutation exist in many other birds too. No two pied birds are exactly similar so you can imagine how much variety in pied peacocks exists. Pied peacocks are becoming very popular. Pied peacocks do not breed true that is (Pied x pied) gives you (Pieds,white and dark pied chicks). The price of a pied peafowl depends on white patches on body for obvious reason. more white more attractive and beautiful. To get alot of white on train of a pied peacock is hard,it is possible through selective breeding so pied peacocks with more white on train are expensive.
