On the southeastern edge of the Deliblato sands special reserve is the village of Šušara, founded way back in 1887. The clean air and untouched nature of the Deliblato sands, or as it is also called the "European Sahara", represents the largest oasis of sand-steppe and forest vegetation. The presence of steppe animal species that have disappeared or are disappearing from other habitats of the Pannonian plain is also very significant.

Hunting enthusiasts, biologists, mountaineers, recreationists, gourmets and all other nature lovers can find their satisfaction through all types of excursion, hunting, wine and gastro-tourism and enjoy the fresh air and the beauty of Šušara and its surroundings.
