Got into listening to Irish trad, particularly mid-20th Century revival groups such as The Dubliners and Planxty about 12-13 years ago. A few years after that I came across a video of a new group performing in that style, a great version of one of my favorites, McAlpine's Fusiliers:

They were called The Kings of Connaught and they became one of several artists I've discovered thanks to YouTube who are carrying on that musical tradition. Fast-forward to 2024 and I was very excited to find out they would be playing live in my hometown of Madison, Wisconsin! They put on a great- nearly two-hour (with intermission) set.
I didn't record a few songs, or only partially, during the first set so I could better enjoy the music. Then midway through "Dirty Old Town" I hit upon the idea of propping my phone up on the table using the plastic menu board and my beer glass. Apologies for my bad singing occasionally being audible.
