I had such a wonderful time recreating "Starry Night over the Rhone" using acrylics on canvas! Even though my version doesn't come close to the original oil painting by Vincent Van Gogh, I've learned so much throughout the process. It's been fascinating to dive into the mind of the artist, understanding his thought process and the step-by-step approach he took. Van Gogh's love for the night sky and stars really shines through, especially with his use of blues.
Although I've worked on several Van Gogh paintings, this is the only one where I managed to create a tutorial.

Here is what I used:
• 20 by 24 (inches) primed canvas
• Gloss medium mixed with yellow ochre for the base
• Acrylic Paints: titanium white, Pathalo blue, yellow ochre, yellow mid, black, lemon yellow and and black.
Brushes:
• Filbert tip size 8 by Keep Smiling
• Small round size 2 for details
• Water for cleaning brushes
• A rag for wiping in between
