This is an ancient workshop where they produced the huge stone vessels that can be found all over the region here in Central Sulawesi Indonesia.
It seems like this place has been suddenly abandoned.
Archaeologists believe these granite stone jars were crafted by an unknown civilization around 3500 BC. They are found in the Napu, Behoa, and Bada Valleys.
The locals call these ancient stone jars Kalambas. In the local language, "Kalamba" translates to "spirit boat," though their exact purpose remains a mystery.
