On April 12th, 2023, the Weldon Cooper Center and the Virginia Department of Energy hosted a Webinar to introduce the Energizing Rural Communities Prize, a federal funding opportunity that will provide $15 million in support to individuals, universities, tribal and local governments, and other community organizations. This prize aims to support the development of partnership plans or innovative financing strategies to improve energy systems and advance clean energy demonstration projects in rural communities.
