Armed forces officers and family members of Group Captain Varun Singh paid their respects to the officer during a wreath-laying ceremony that was held at Yelahanka Air Force Station in Bengaluru.
Shaurya Chakra awardee Group Captain Varun Singh was the lone survivor of the IAF helicopter crash that killed Chief of Defence Staff General Bipin Rawat and 12 others. The Mi-17 helicopter had crashed in Tamil Nadu's Coonoor last week.
