Tiffany Studios designed their lamps to be "mixed and matched" based on a client's taste and price point. Arlie Sulka, owner of Lillian Nassau LLC, shows us how today's Tiffany collectors can still customize their own original Tiffany lamp when purchasing at Lillian Nassau LLC by switching between a variety of available shades and bases.
Tiffany Studios was established by Louis Comfort Tiffany, son of the founder of Tiffany & Company, in the early 1900s. Though Louis C. Tiffany began his artistic career as a painter, his renowned firm specialized in artistic work in glass - from the Tiffany Lamps and Windows for which the firm is world-renowned to delicate blown Favrile Glass vases, glass mosaics, enameled "Fancy Goods," and more.
Lillian Nassau LLC was the first gallery to specialize in the work of Louis Comfort Tiffany and Tiffany Studios. Established in 1945 in New York City, the gallery, now owned by Arlie Sulka, continues to dominate the field with its expertise and scholarship, placing museum-quality examples in important private and public collections around the world.
