The truth is that in order for the “my body, my choice” argument to hold up, pro-abortion activists have to believe in abortion up through the third trimester. The reality is, most people who support abortion don't support it to that extent. When people realize they have to choose between advocating for late-term abortion or abandoning this popular argument, the pro-abortion position suddenly starts to feel much less comfortable. If thousands of people who are comfortably pro-abortion realize that to be consistent they have to choose between the extremism that their arguments demand and the voices of their consciences, then many may start to rethink that position.
