ANKA III, which made its first flight on December 28, 2023, achieved another new success by successfully firing its first ammunition.
ANKA III, a delta wing structure developed by Turkish Aerospace Industries with national resources, continues its test flights. Ammunition assembly activities have been initiated in order to gain weapon carrying capability within the scope of military use.
TEBER-82 Guidance kit developed by ROKETSAN was placed under the wing. ANKA III, which was fitted with ASELFLIR 500 Electro-Optical Camera produced by ASELSAN, took action for firing activity after ammunition taxi and ammunition flight test activities.
Following its first flight, ANKA III Unmanned Aerial Vehicle, which quickly continued its tests, took off once more after the ammunition flight test. Taking off from Mürted Air Base at 08:30, ANKA III reached Acıkır Firing Range. ANKA III, which fired at the target, successfully completed the firing test.
In ammunition configuration, the ANKA III system will be able to carry 650 kilograms of ammunition in each of the two stations in the fuselage, 650 kilograms in each of the wing inner stations, and 100 kilograms in each of the outer stations.
