Deep divisions over the Ukraine war marked the Group of 20 foreign ministers’ summit in New Delhi. Indian Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar confirmed March 2, 2023, that G20 foreign ministers had failed to produce a consensus statement by the end of the meeting. The Ukraine war was a point of contention during the summit, including during the first one-on-one meeting between US Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov since the start of the conflict.
