Having been recommended using gear oil in the SU carburettor, by the service manager at my local garage, having used 3in 1 for years, I thought I'd give it a go. Once on the role it was great but a little lag on acceleration and idling a little iffy. I think the engine sound, has the tenacity of a Moggy Minor being driven to a garden fete by a vicar, but see what you think.
