Brienz Waterfall or Mühlenbach waterfall is located very close to the route of the Brienzer Rothorn Railway. The spectacular waterfall plunges about 150m down the vertical rock face. From Brienz it can be reached in a one-hour hike.
If you continue along the path, you will come to Geldried, from where you can enjoy a fantastic view of Lake Brienz!
Geldried is a crossing point of the Brienzer Rothorn railway and with a little planning you can admire the steam locomotives and old carriages of the railway there. The line of this rack railway was opened in 1892 and it is fascinating to see these old locomotives in operation.
