Today marks a year since President Cyril Ramaphosa suspended the head of a Chapter 9 institution for the first time in the country's history. Adv. Busisiwe Mkhwebane took the president to court to try to get her job back following the unprecedented move, but Ramaphosa stuck to his decision. Mkhwebane is facing a Section 194 inquiry into her fitness to hold office.
