There have been calls for UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson to step down, after the Supreme Court ruled on Sept 24 that his decision to suspend parliament was unlawful. It was a unanimous decision by the court's 11 judges. Mr Johnson had suspended parliament till mid-October
in what critics said was a move to squash debate on Brexit policies before the Oct 31 deadline.
But the ruling means parliament was never legally suspended, and is technically still sitting.
