Ice Fishing Deer Creek Reservoir, Utah on February 4, 2023. The sun came out and the wind stopped. It was a clear 8F degree morning that turned out to be a warm sunny day. It was a perfect day to be on the ice fishing and taking in the views of Mount Timpanogos. After catching my personal best for 2023 at Starvation Reservoir last week, we decided to try something a little closer to home. I have never had much success at Deer Creek Reservoir other than catching buckets of perch decades ago. You never know how it will be unless you try again. We did manage to pull in several rainbow trout and one brown trout. It was a slow day of fishing but at least we did not get skunked. Enjoy!
