After five days in the highly trafficked city of Bangkok, it's time to head to "calmer" waters. Today we fly to the former capital of Myanmar, Yangon (formerly known as Rangoon). Here, we explore the impressive Shwedagon pagoda, a temple constructed more than 2000 years ago and believed home to four relics of former Buddhas.
Our visit ends with an unexpected invitation to a local Saturday English class, where we got to help local students practice their English. This also gave us a great opportunity to learn a lot about this interesting Burmese culture.
Next, we head to Bagan, where over 2000 ancient pagodas cover the lands as far as the eye can see.
