The Welsh language and the culture of Wales is very important to us as a college. It is equally as important to facilitate and deliver Welsh events for all members of the college community, Welsh speaking or not, to understand the importance of the language, both on a local and regional context.
During this difficult time we are delighted to have launched our new and exciting initiative - Welsh Gigs From a Far. Musicians from across Wales have been busy adapting their performances to a digital setting and we are pleased to announce that Coleg Gwent are to present a platform for artists to continue to showcase their creative talents. The first in the series is Alun Gaffey, singing in his native Welsh language. His new album, 'Llyfrau Hanes' is out now!

Mae'r iaith Gymraeg a'r diwylliant cyfoes sydd ohoni yn rhan annatod o egwyddorion y coleg. Law yn llaw ag hyn, rydym yn annog i gymuned eang y coleg, boed yn siaradwr Cymraeg neu beidio, i ddeall pwysigrwydd yr iaith yng nghyd-destun ei gwerth cymdeithasol, addysgol a chyflogadwyedd hollbwysig.
Yn ystod y cyfnod ansicr yma, mae'n bleser gennym i gyhoeddi ein bod yn lansio cyfres newydd hynod gyffrous - Gigs Ddigidol Cymraeg. Mae cerddorion ledled Cymru wedi bod yn prysur addasu wrth gynnig eu perfformiadau byw dros ffrwd ddigidol ac mae'n wych dangos ein cefnogaeth hefyd drwy gynnig platfform i rai o unigolion fwyaf creadigol y wlad. Ein gig ddigidol gyntaf yw perfformiad Alun Gaffey o'i albwm newydd sbon, 'Llyfrau Hanes'. Mwynhewch!
