One of the best concealed carry micro compact pistol options out there doesn’t have to break the bank. In fact the all new Canik Mete MC9 is punching well above its price tag with features that are better than the big name micro compact pistol manufacturers out there. We saw it at SHOT Show 2023, now we have one for ourselves!

The number one feature is the trigger. It’s lighter but not so light it’s unsafe, it breaks crisp and clean at a well defined wall. The trigger itself has a fair amount of light take up which increases the overall safety of it along with a trigger shoe safety.

The magazine release button shoots the mags out on reloads and it’s very easy to actuate with larger hands on a small pistol. It features ambi slide stop or slide release levers which are again, easy to use.

Gripping the NEW Canik MC9 is easy with the grip texture which locks onto your hand just right, yet won’t tear up skin or clothing concealed. It has nice slide serrations for easy cocking and a optics cut ready slide for RMSC or Holosun 507/407K optics. The sights will cowitness with the dot and have a blacked rear and white dot front sight.

It comes with one 12 round magazine, one 15 round magazine, cleaning tool, tools, nice fitted case and a holster which actually worked well. The holster isn’t the greatest but has positive retention and will work for a while until more options are available.

This pistol shoots well, is easy too shoot and outshines nearly every other pistol in its class by a significant margin. For a self defense concealed carry pistol, Canik hit a grand slam. We really were extremely impressed with such a great shooting budget friendly and high quality pistol. This is no departure from the rest of Canik’s pistol offerings, they are great options and often overlooked!
