Fellowes Ion A4 Home Office Laminator Review
This arrived in a lift top Fellowes branded box, everything was well packed with moulded cardboard each end for added protection during transit, on the top it had the 10 free pouches and the instructions, with the instruction booklet being clear and easy to follow having linked diagrams taking you through the process step by step.
First impressions: I have not had or even used a laminator before so didn’t know what to expect and was quite surprised how small and simple it was without a multitude of different settings and buttons. The unit is quite light looking and feeling good quality.
After having a read through the instructions I printed off some learning sheets for laminating I wanted for my four year old to be able to practice writing and arithmetic. Laminating is simple and easy and there aren’t really any controls or settings to get wrong, all you have to do is insert the paper/card you want to laminated between the pouch, turn the laminator on and wait for the green light indicating the temperature is correct then insert the pouch with the paper/card inside sealed edge first and off it goes.
Overall simple but effective, it laminated the learning sheets I wanted perfectly and they are ideal for my daughter to practice on being able to clean them off quickly and easily even in water as they become waterproof, the process is fairly slow so it would in my opinion not be great at quick multiple sheets but for simple home use I can’t knock it.
