Living in a car with a mattress at the back to sleep on for a couple of nights is probably not the most comfortable way to spend your vacation. However, it does offer the unique experience of freedom camping, something you just can’t get when staying at hotels. If you want to experience something more than just an overly scripted and planned holiday, then renting a campervan in New Zealand has got to be one of the most exciting things you can do for your next vacation. Sure, it does have its drawbacks but it is an experience I think everyone should try out at least once in their lifetime.
