At the National Centre for Mental Health, our researchers are working to better understand PMDD.

A condition that was only officially recognised in 2013, it affects as many as 80,000 women and people who have periods in the UK.

We're working to better understand the causes and triggers of the condition so we can improve diagnosis, support and treatment in the future.
