Queenstown offers easy access to the Central Otago region of New Zealand’s South Island, which is world-renowned for its cool climate wines. In this video, we join Queenstown Wine Trail Tours on a half day tour to a selection of boutique wineries across the region, including Amisfield Wines and Gibbston Valley Winery. We meet up with Viggi Delport at Amisfield for a chat about two of the region’s signature drops — pinot noir and riesling.
We also drop by the Gibbston Valley Cheesery, which specialises in sheep, cow and goats milk cheeses — handcrafted in traditional European style.
