Michaela Mala graduated in 2004 from Gymnazium Jana Nerudy's Music Department, under the direction of Prof. Ruzena Ucnova. She then continued with her studies in piano under the direction of Prof. Ivan Klansky at the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague.
She had the great opportunity to further her studies for one year in Luzern, Switzerland.
In 2010 Michaela graduated from university with a Master of Art Degree and thoroughly enjoyed playing solo with the orchestra at her Graduation Concert.
Michaela has received a number of Awards in National and International competitions and has played numerous concerts as a soloist and chamber musician. She has had the opportunity to play concerts in many European cities like Milan, Rome, Luxembourg City, Bratislava and Berlin, as well as in many beautiful towns in her homeland, Czech Republic. She has recorded for Czech Radio and Television. Michaela also has extensive experience in teaching children from Czech Republic and abroad.
She taught children from the International School in Prague, which has provided her with the opportunity to experience many different nationalities. She believes this ability is her core strength; allowing her to combine multiple styles of teaching music, finding the best way for every child to embrace music in general.
Michaela has recently relocated to Cape Town. She has established her own piano school, The Music Room, where she is teaching music to children from different parts of the world. Michaela is also establishing herself as an accompanist and a chamber musician in South Africa.

Lukáš Klánský is a laureate of many national as well as international competitions e.g. EPTA 2002, Agropolli 2003, Karl Drechsel fordepreise 2007, Beethoven‘s Hradec 2007, International Rotary Piano Competition 2012 and Darmstadt International Chopin Competition 2013. At the age of fifteen he made his debut in Dvorak´s Hall in Prague with the Prague Chamber Orchestra playing Mozart’s Concerto F Major.
Between 2004 and 2010 he studied at the Prague Conservatoire in the class of Eva Boguniová, graduated with Chopin’s Piano Concerto in f- minor with the Prague Conservatoire Symphony Orchestra. Since 2010 he has been studying at the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague under his father, Prof. Ivan Klánskýt. His musical development has been influenced not only by his tutors but also by Martin Kasík as well as world-famous Garick Ohlsson, whose Prague masterclass Lukáš Klánský attended.
Lukáš performs with leading Czech orchestras (Chamber Symphony Orchestra Pardubice, Hradec Králové Symphony Orchestra, Bohuslav Martinů Philharmonic, Czech National Symphony Orchestra, Barocco sempre giovane) as well as under baton of conductors as Libor Pešek, Andrea Sebastian Weiser or Istvan Denes. Lukáš Klánský appears on musical festivals as the Prague Spring, Feasts of Music with Václav Hudeček, Talich’s Beroun or in the scope of chamber cycle with the Czech Philharmonic.
At his numerous concert performances he had the chance to introduce himself to the audiences in many countries. Beside the Czech Republic it was for instance Slovakia, Germany, France, Italy, Belgium, Netherlands, Croatia, Slovenia, Poland and Turkey. Because of his extraordinary talent, musical intellect and exemplary sound quality he is not only a highly acclaimed soloist, but also a sought-after chamber music player. He regularly gives the concerts with violinist Jan Mráček, a laureate of the International Competition the Prague Spring, with cellist Ivan Vokáč, but also with respected artists as Václav Hudeček or Pražák Quartet.
