This was an interesting departure for a few reasons. We pushed back from the gate about 30 minutes late since the aircraft was a bit late getting in. The aircraft taxied on one engine the majority of the way to runway 25R since it was a pretty long taxi. Upon reaching the threshold of 25R the aircraft stopped and didn't move for at least 5 minutes. The aircraft then proceeded to enter the runway but did not set takeoff power, and instead, vacated the runway at the next right turn. The First Officer said that there was a problem with the aircraft and we sat on the taxiway for at least 20 minutes. We then were told that the issue was resolved and that we could depart again.
