(18 Dec 1978) The aftermath of two bomb explosions in the centre of London. The first was in the car park of a hotel owned by the Young Men's Christian Association and the Young Women's Christian Association. Students from overseas and other residents had to be evacuated in case of a second blast. The second car bomb went off outside a London nightspot. People in the capital go on a Christmas bomb alert against an assault launched on mainland Britain by the Irish Republican Army.
