We know from previous episodes that the National Grid could easily handle every car in the UK being switched to electric propulsion. However, are there enough raw materials to build lithium-ion batteries every car in the UK, or the world for that matter? We start off by looking at what goes into a lithium-ion cell, and then look at global reserves of the most contentious raw materials.
