A Little Wisdom Helps You Become Smarter
When using an excavator to dig a cave dwelling, the following measures can be taken to avoid collapse !
First of all, a detailed geological survey of the location of the cave dwelling should be carried out. Information such as the type and texture of the soil and the presence of rock layers should be understood. If the place has loose soil, the risk of collapse is higher, and more careful construction is required !
Secondly, during the excavation process, attention should be paid to the design of the shape and slope of the cave dwelling. The top of the cave dwelling should be designed in an arch shape because the arch structure can distribute the pressure on the top to the side walls, enhancing stability. At the same time, the walls should preferably have a certain slope instead of being completely vertical, which can reduce the force of the soil sliding down !
Furthermore, appropriate reinforcement should be carried out during the excavation process. Some support materials, such as steel beams and wooden boards, can be used to temporarily support the cave walls during the excavation to prevent collapse before the excavation is completed !
Finally, control the progress of the excavation and the depth of each excavation. Avoid digging too deeply or over a large area at one time, so that the surrounding soil has enough time to adapt to the change in stress and reduce the possibility of collapse !
