Niramish Panchmishali Torkari Sorshe Bata Diye | Vegetable Recipe | Bengali Mixed Vegetable Recipe |
A Wintery delicacy with several veggies, A bong-fied version of Mix-veg and most importantly super-comforting Panch Mishali Tarkari can't go wrong especially in Winter. Typically a no onion no garlic side prepared with several veggies and tempered and flavored with Panch Phoran ( Panch phoron- a simple spice mix of 5 spices. Equal quantities of cumin seeds, nigella seeds, fennel seeds, black mustard seeds and little less fenugreek seeds makes this extremely powerful yet elevating spice mix) you may find variation in the cooking process of Panch Mishali Tarkari. The Recipe I follow is what I have seen in my house which probably came from Thakuma to my Mother.
Ingredients:-
Cauliflower- 1pic
Pumpkin- 250gm
Flat Bean- 100gm
EggPlant- 250gm
Potato- 250gm
Coriander leaves
Oil-25gm
Panchforon -1tsp
Salt to taste
Turmeric- 1tsp
Chili powder- 1tsp
Poppy seeds- 15gm
Mustered seeds- 15gm
Sugar-1tbsp
hot water 500 ml.
