Our promises are declarations to help lead our planet to a more sustainable future, help limit globalwarming to 1.5°C and protect the next generation from the climate crisis. Alongside COP26, we share our collective ambition for climate action.
We promise to:
Reduce emissions across our operations: We will assess every element of our performance, identifying opportunities to reduce emissions where possible. This will include our investment in zero-emissions vehicles.
Continue increasing our use of renewable energy: Following the installation of 4,000 solar panels on the roof of our MRF, we will invest in new opportunities to self-derive sustainable energy to power our operations.
Utilise Science-Based Targets to track our performance: We will independently verify and track our performance to validate our commitments and progress.
Invest in zero emissions technical innovations: From harvesting latent heat generated by our MRF, to new sorting technology, we will invest in our operations to reduce our #environmental impact.
We have already gained some momentum by reducing our emissions by almost 50%, harnessing the power of renewables and installing London's Largest Solar Retrofit at our flagship facility.
In connection to our promises, we will be releasing our Bywaters net-zero white paper early next year. The white paper will highlight our extensive range of environmental solutions, products, and services. That will help you pave your way to a more sustainable future.
