📽 Interesting, Why We Fight - The Battle of China, WW2 Propaganda Film 1944.
'The Battle of China' was the sixth film of Frank Capra's Why We Fight propaganda film series.
The movie opens on footage of the Japanese invasion of China and then briefly introduces the history, geography, and people of China. It contrasts the peaceful development of the Republic of China under Sun Yat-sen with the militarized modernization of the Empire of Japan, whose invasions of China are explained.
The series 'Why We Fight' was made to educate American troops of the necessity of combating the Axis powers during World War II based on the idea that those in the service would fight more willingly and ably if they knew the background and the reason for their participation in the war.
The films were later released to the general American public as a rallying cry for support of the war.
