Effective Board governance is essential for the long-term success of any charity, including faith-based charities which often have a strong sense of mission and purpose, and distinct system of values that impact decision-making. All charities need to establish clear lines of communication between the Board and Management, putting in place adequate policies and procedures that promote ethical behaviour and ensuring that the charity is in compliance with all relevant laws and regulations
